ABOUT

GET TO KNOW ME.
I’M KELSEY - LABOR doula.

Hi there! My name is Kelsey, the older sister here at SV. I am a professionally trained birth doula serving North, Central, and Cedar Valley Iowa. I’m also a wife to my college sweetheart and together we share three beautiful children. We live on a century farm in rural Iowa. I love nature, food, and being with my family.

Each one of my own unique pregnancies has helped mold me into the passionate birth worker I am today, and for that I am extremely grateful. No one pregnancy is the same, but each pregnancy is deserving of support. It is my honor to help you and your partner feel supported, resourced, and confident in pregnancy and birth.

I love getting to learn your story and understanding your specific needs during this exciting and transformational experience. I promise all my clients unbiased and completely individualized support, ensuring you get the most from my dedicated services and the Sister Village.

GET TO KNOW ME.
I’M GRACE - LABOR doula.

Hi there! My name is Grace and I am a CAPPA trained labor doula living with my husband, daughter, and pup on a small acreage in Stratford, Iowa. I love plants, a good documentary, and volleyball.

As the younger sister here at SV, I have been fortunate enough to attend all of my sister’s births and witness some truly magical things. When I birthed my own daughter during Covid, I was unable to have sister or doula support. Although my husband’s support was incredible, I can speak to the impact this played on my birth story. This experience lit a fire in me to learn more about our cultural birthing norms and help future mothers navigate information and their choices around child-birth.

As your doula, I will honor your birth wishes and hold space for all of the anxiety and excitement that come along with child-birth. I recognize that each birth, each baby, and each birthing person are proudly unique in their own way. My goal is to help you feel informed, empowered, and connected to your birth experience. Whether this is your first or fifth birth, it would be my privilege to be your doula and welcome you into the Sister Village!
